05.20: "We simply have to wait and see"
says Sebastian about the teams threat to leave f1...
Sebastian Vettel on Tuesday said he is reluctant to weigh into the budget cap row that threatens formula one's very future. The 21-year-old German's team, Red Bull Racing, is among the so-called 'rebels' that are threatening to pull out of the sport if the FIA does not revoke its budget cap rules for 2010.

"As drivers we simply have to wait and see," Shanghai winner Vettel, who sits 18 points behind championship leader Jenson Button in the drivers' standings, is quoted as saying by the Austrian press.

He did admit, however, that - particularly from a driver's perspective - it is important a reasonable solution to the stand-off is found.

"For us all it is essential that we have a cockpit: in formula one," said Vettel.

and a show in austria...
More than 130,000 people lined the banks of the Tisza River in the town of Szeged (population: 160,000) to watch three Red Bull cars take part in a Hungarian Show Car Run.

F1 drivers Sebastian Vettel (in an Formula One car) and Sébastien Buemi (in a Nascar racer) were joined by Austrian driver Raimund Baumschlager in his rallying car to put on a display in front of the hordes of people who used every vantage point on land and water to get a better view.

The show started with a display from local Red Bull Air Race legend Peter Besenyei who warmed up the crowd for the main event on the streets below.

From Hungary the two F1 drivers flew to Vienna where they took part in the live Austrian sports show Sport Am Sonntag.

The next Running Showcar event will be in Peru where David Coulthard drives an RB4 through the streets of Lima.

05.18: Stewart also says Seb needs a manager
to follow his upcoming steps in formula one...
Sebastian Vettel should rethink his policy of not employing a manager, according to former triple world champion Sir Jackie Stewart.

21-year-old German Vettel, the only driver other than Jenson Button to have won a race this season, negotiated his BMW, Toro Rosso and Red Bull assignments with the assistance only of his father Norbert, and an external lawyer.
"Up until now he didn't need a manager," Scot Stewart, 69, told Germany's Auto Motor und Sport. "But he will not be able to imagine what is going to happen to him if he really becomes a superstar," Stewart added.

Stewart, also a team owner and boss at the end of the 90s, believes Red Bull driver Vettel has not reached his peak of popularity, which will complicate the handling of his own affairs.

"He will become so big that he needs someone to guide him through the things that, apart from driving, are important," he continued. "He will be dealing with people like politicians, heads of big companies. He should be prepared for that," added Stewart.
