[QLF] "I'm looking forward to tomorrow"
says sebastian in qualifying press conference...
Q: Sebastian, the pace of the Red Bull continues. A fantastic qualifying performance. But going into this weekend you know you have that 10 place grid penalty given to you by the stewards after the Australian Grand Prix. How does that affect your mindset coming into this weekend?
Sebastian VETTEL: I think the secret is I have the penalty, there is nothing I can do, so the secret is just to focus on what we are here for. We are here to race, so that is what we do. Of course it is a shame to see the car is performing at a good level throughout Q1, Q2 and Q3. We were more or less up there in the top five. It is good to see that but it is shame to have plus 10 tomorrow, so I think it will be a very tough day for me tomorrow but I’m looking forward. Nothing is impossible. I personally hope for some rain as it can mix it up quite a lot.

Q: Can I ask you about the conditions here in Malaysia. How you are faring? You look pretty good right now?

SV: Yeah, thanks. I am still young. It is quite tough but the sun I have to say wasn’t a big problem as it was quite cloudy rather than in Melbourne where the sun was quite low. Here we simply could not see that much and as Jarno says it is at least a little bit colder than in the mid-day heat, so I am looking forward to tomorrow. Usually the rain here comes a bit later in the day, so anything can happen here.

04.03: Bernie, "Penalty was wrong"
says F1 big boss...
Bernie Ecclestone on Friday said it was "wrong" for FIA stewards to penalise Sebastian Vettel for his crash in Melbourne a week ago. The F1 chief executive did not travel to Australia last week, but he has arrived at Sepang for round two, where his favourite driver Vettel will drop ten places down the grid. Ecclestone, 78, said the Red Bull driver's penalty for colliding with BMW's Robert Kubica was not deserved.

"It was wrong," the Briton told Germany's Auto Motor und Sport. "The poor guy is punished for an accident. He lost third place. If the rule is that you get punished for a collision with another driver, then soon we will have no more fights," said Ecclestone.

"We want to see more wheel-to-wheel (duels), not less," he added.

[FP2] “The heat in Malaysia is always a surprise"
said sebastian after second session...
"The heat in Malaysia is always a surprise, even if you're here for a couple of days before you jump in the car. It's very hot with the suit and everything and, no matter how much you prepare, the first outing is always a bad surprise - but, you quickly adapt. Every time you come in to the box it's like you've been in the shower. Fortunately I've got a bag with dry ice in it, which I put next to my balls, so at least they stay nice and cool! Today went well, with smooth running. We ran through our programme, did a lot of laps and got a lot of information about our tyres. There were no major problems with either car, so it was a good day."
