[EVENTS] Seb "teacher" for one day
next tuesday in milan...
Sebastian Vettel, the youngest winner of a Grand Prix in the Formula one's history, will meet students in the Polytechnic of Milan next Tuesday (March 3) in Bovisa.

The German champion, moved from Toro Rosso to Red Bull Racing Team with the maturity gained from the victory at Monza last year, will be available for students to answer all their curiosity, generating a real debate about the wonderful world of Formula 1 and clarifying the real ambitions of his team.

Vettel will reveal the secrets of his car, the differences between the various circuits of the championship and the perils that lie behind every race, explaining to students what are the important details to emerge in Formula 1. The driver will be accompanied by Geoffrey Willis, Technical Director of Red Bull Racing, whose contribution will be valuable to provide the technical details of the car.

[TESTS] "We must continue the hard work"
says sebastian after rbr exclusive tests...
Red Bull Racing spent four days this week at an exclusive test of the permanent Valencia circuit, just outside the European Grand Prix city, in Cheste. Both race drivers were in action, taking in two track days each, as the team focused on car development and conducting a shakedown test of the second RB5 chassis.

The weather was good throughout the week, so work continued uninterrupted for both Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel. With Webber taking to the wheel for the first two days of the test, it was the first time since breaking his leg in November that he was able to complete two consecutive days of testing.

Sebastian got behind the wheel for the final two days. “We have done a lot of laps, but we must continue to work hard at the upcoming tests; really, it won't be until we all run in Australia that we will see where we are compared to the others.”

Testing resumes on Sunday, with eight teams scheduled to appear at the year's penultimate group test in Jerez. Toro Rosso and Honda are the only teams expected to be absent.

02.27: 'In the same car Nico would've done same'
says sir frank williams in interview...
Sir Frank Williams gave an interview today to german media Motorsport-Total and was asked something about german driver Sebastian Vettel. You can check the interesting bit here:

Q: "Do you have a big impression of Vettel?"
Williams:
"I don't think he can do magic. In that same car Nico Rosberg could've done the same. But he is really good. The same goes for Nico though. If Nico had a McLaren he would drive ahead all the time."

++ Yes, but Seb didn't have a McLaren and not even a Williams like the one that gave Nico podium before...

Michaela let us know about the private testing images from this week, and we posted them on gallery. Times were not published, because according to RBR the tests were just in order to make their official photoshoot, 'The overnight shoot meant no valuable development or testing time was taken up and, come 6am Friday, it was straight off to Spain.'

02.23: "Rather too high than not high enough"
says Seb about his precautions to KERS...
Drivers were already told after the accident last July with a BMW Sauber mechanic, that there's a chance to recieve eletrical shocks from the KERS system. The safety was however improved but the drivers recieved some instructions. "I would rather jump out too high, than not high enough," said Sebastian Vettel to Bild newspaper.

The Formula One driver avoids then having simultaneous contact with the car and the floor. That's the reason why he always 'jump out' of the car. (Contacting both car and floor could make the body conduct eletricity and cause a shock). Anyways, the Clothing Industry already worked on this matter. Puma for example, created new shoes for mechanics and drivers, that are made of thick gum, isolating from a eventual shock.

[INTERVIEW] 'Would be foolish to talk about a title'
says sebastian in a new interview...
Another launch interview was added to our huge 'Interviews Archive'. To read it, go 'Sebastian' on our menu, and click on the latest article of the interviews section, or simply click here.

Here's a clip of what Sebastian told german press:
Question: "Is the pressure bigger after the win last year?
Vettel:
"I don't really care what the others or the team expects from me. I do my best, and I want to do the ideal in each race and be ahead of all others. Nothing changed in that matter. I hope that I'll always learn something new so I can keep on improving. I want to become better. What the others think doesn't influence me."

02.20: Webber speaks about his new teammate
and looks forward to race with him...
Despite some having uncharitably suggested that the arrival of Formula 1's new youngest-ever race-winner Sebastian Vettel alongside him at Red Bull Racing this year could spell the beginning of the end of his career in the top flight, Mark Webber has insisted that he will approach the battle ahead no differently to how he has always done.

“It's a team sport, and that's how I've always viewed it. I'm looking forward to more of the same again this year. I've had a lot of team-mates in Formula 1, and the reason I strived so hard to get to Formula 1 was because I wanted to race against the best guys. Sebastian certainly had a good year last year, and I'm looking forward to working with him this year. As a team, I think it's good for us that we're happy to be working very closely together, and my job doesn't change. I'll continue to do what I've been doing since I got to Formula 1; that's what I'll always do.”
