[THANKS!] We have a huge record of visits!
during this race weekend...
We already replied all emails relating to fanclub and you were all added to it! We wanna thank all for the huge number of accesses we got since Sebastian got his first pole position and later his first win (of many to come, we are sure). It was so huge our forum stopped working last night! About 1000 people on friday, 3300 yesterday, and over 1200 today already (and it's just midday here!). All these visits mean a lot to us and we're sure would mean even more to Sebastian, because show the support he has achieved worldwide. So thanks everyone, and especially, thanks to Seb, because without him nothing would be the same!
Everyone is invited to join our forums (yes, it's working again) and discuss about the best race weekend in a loooong time!
Thanks again,
Kati

09.15:" It was an immaculate race"
says Mario Theissen on Seb...
Theissen says he has had no second thoughts about having let Sebastian Vettel slip through his fingers for now.

"No," he told autosport.com when asked if there were any regrets about his Vettel decision. "Red Bull and BMW have supported him over many years and it was clear that for the early years of his career it would be the right move to gain experience without too much pressure. He is just 21 - with just one year of experience. He has another 15 years ahead of him."

Theissen believes Vettel has made tremendous progress as a driver since he joined Toro Rosso.

"Definitely," said Theissen. "When he started with Toro Rosso as a racing driver it was clear he would need a learning period but that has been tremendously short. It was an immaculate race in Monza. Toro Rosso put the best car on the grid for these weather conditions and he did an immaculate job without being under pressure at any point of the race. It is fantastic. Just an amazing story – I am happy for Sebastian but also for Gerhard (Berger) and Franz Tost. We have worked together for many years and it is just incredible what they did at Toro Rosso."

09.15: Willi Webber says he'd work with Seb
when asked by tv channels...
Michael Schumacher's manager has offered to handle the career of the sport's newest and youngest ever grand prix winner. 21-year-old Sebastian Vettel, who stunned the F1 world with his dominance of the wet Italian grand prix weekend, is a rare breed on the grid -- he has always taken care of his own affairs.

When asked by the news agency SID if he can imagine teaming up with the young German, Willi Weber - who guided Schumacher's record breaking career and also brought the German's younger brother Ralf into F1 - said: "Absolutely.

"Sebastian is a very pleasant boy, which would make a cooperation with him a lot of fun," Weber added.

The 66-year-old will be in Koblenz court on September 29 accused of embezzling more than 1m euros in company funds.

09.15: Seb rejects *again* comparisons
to Michael Schumacher...
Monza winner Sebastian Vettel has rejected comparisons between himself and his legendary compatriot Michael Schumacher.

"About this comparison to Michael. I think first of all you have to realise what this guy achieved in the past," Vettel said.

"To compare anybody among us drivers - probably Fernando (Alonso) is the closest, he's a two time world champion - but to compare anybody to Michael I think is a bit ridiculous. Obviously I'm very young and at a very early stage of my career and therefore I think there's no need to make a comparison. He's probably one of the best drivers we have ever seen. I'm proud, in a way, because I know him. He's a very nice guy and completely down-to-earth."

[RACE] Pos Race comments on Sebastian
from other team's bosses...
Many team bosses commented on Sebastian's perfect performance yesterday. Check the best quotes:

Mario Theissen (BMW): "As expected, it was an action packed race, but not for the man in front. Under these difficult circumstances Toro Rosso had the best car, and Sebastian Vettel managed to score his and the team's maiden victory with this excellent performance. Hats off to them!"

Ron Dennis (McLaren): "Yesterday I congratulated Sebastian and his team boss, Gerhard Berger, on their first pole position; today I commend them on the occasion of their maiden win. It was good to see, and I want to say: Well done to the entire Toro Rosso team for doing a fantastic job."

Stefano Domenicali (Ferrari): "I would like to congratulate Scuderia Toro Rosso, which uses our engines and Sebastian Vettel on their first Formula 1 win too. They did a perfect job all weekend - and they really deserve this moment of great joy."

Christian Horner (RBR): "Congratulations to Sebastian Vettel and Toro Rosso on a fantastic result for Red Bull. Sebastian drove a fantastic race and totally destroyed the opposition. Red Bull Technology can be very proud of the car that they have provided."

Dr Vijay Mallya (Force India): "I must extend my congratulations to Toro Rosso and Sebastian Vettel for a marvellous first victory, and to our engine partner Ferrari for their first win with a customer engine. It is very satisfying to see an independent team winning and this is a source of inspiration for us."

[RACE] "I will never forget these feelings"
says seb on toro rosso press release...
Sebastian Vettel (STR3-03, Pos. 1st): "A fantastic race, a fantastic weekend with pole as well and a fantastic strategy this afternoon. As for the podium ceremony it was unbelievable and this is the best day of my life. I will never forget these feelings. It is so unbelievable.
It is better than I had ever expected. A big thank you to everyone in the team for their great work. After a poor start to the season, we got better and better. Maybe in today's conditions, we could close the gap with a bit more effort or by staying on the throttle a bit longer. I'm speechless. As for the race, we were very fast in a straight line because we didn't go for high downforce as we thought it might be dry, so we stayed on the dry level. Being out in front with no visibility problems was the key and I could build up a solid gap to Heikki straightaway. Then I was pushing very hard, maybe going over the limit sometimes and I nearly lost the car. In the last stint I was in a very good position on the intermediate tyre. I couldn't believe it when it kept saying "P1" on my board. But I kept my focus and kept pushing so as not to lose concentration. A perfect weekend."

[RACE] "I have seen every angle of the grid now"
another after race short interview...
"I have seen every angle of the grid now. It is difficult when you start from the back. Now we can be proud of ourselves. Celebrating our victory is great, putting these words together sounds unbelievable. The mentality has changed, the atmosphere is fantastic. When I jumped into the car before the race they said: 'Now destroy them'. I was pushing like hell, they were looking forward, in that sense you could say we had the balls to do it today."

[RACE] "It is fantastic, I am speechless"
says sebastian after his first win...
"Unbelievable," said an elated Vettel. "The whole race we had no problems, the car was working really fine. I had a fantastic race, a really good strategy but all that was gone when I crossed the chequered flag, and the lap back to the pits all the podium ceremony was unbelievable.

"For sure this is the best day of my life, these emotions I will never forget, it is so much better than you might think it is.

"I can just say a big big thank you to the guys in the team, they did a fantastic job, who would have thought it at the start of the season, in these conditions we can do a bit more. It is fantastic, I am speechless."
